Ed Pendarvis
Chairman & President

Ed Pendarvis, CBI is founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Sunbelt Network. He is a 1965 graduate of The Citadel and served two years in the US Army Artillery. He has managed the sale of more than 1000 businesses and is a published author. Ed serves on the board of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and is the board’s Membership & Affiliates Chair. He is a Fellow of IBBA and, in 2006, was presented with the Tom West Award for IBBA service. As Chairman of Pendarvis Capital Group, Ed is the face of the company to the business broker community.

James J. Egan, Jr.

Jim Egan joined Pendarvis Capital Group after more than 30 years at CIT Group, a NYSE-listed company with more than $50 billion in managed assets concentrated in asset based, cash flow and SBA lending in addition to equipment leasing, vendor financing and factoring. The first half of Jim’s career was spent on the legal side, culminating in his holding the position of Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of CIT’s parent corporation. The second half of his career was as President and CEO of CIT’s Sales Financing and Consumer Credit subsidiary with managed assets in excess of $7 billion and more than 400 employees. Among Jim’s accomplishments at CIT was the creation de novo of a private label automobile financing program, home equity financing and the business of securing third party consumer credit portfolios. As CEO, Jim has responsibility overseeing all sales, operational and administrative functions for the company.

Dean D. Porter
General Counsel
South Carolina Office

Dean Porter has worked on Wall Street as well as Main Street. He has had experience in investment banking before he established his own law practice focusing on small business in New Jersey and then in South Carolina. Dean has testified before Congress and co-authored “Leveraged Buy-out Financing” which appeared in a Prentice Hall publication. He is a member of the South Carolina, New Jersey and Ohio bars. As General Counsel, Dean ensures compliance with all legal, licensing and regulatory requirements related to origination, servicing and collection.

  • PCG to finance maximum 50% of value.
